Tells us about you/your business?

We are a trusted RIBA Chartered Practice based in Liverpool employed locally and throughout the North West of England and North Wales by a wide variety of sectors.  In addition, we maintain that small is beautiful because of the benefits to the Client. It’s not about the usual reasons… better response times, customer service, you can take that for granted, it’s about detail, design proposals with flair that incorporate the commercial aspects of construction, engineering and cost with an emphasis on Client.
Our projects range from extensions to form luxury contemporary homes, one off houses, student accommodation, industrial units up to multi million pound mixed used developments, one of our recent projects was a £8.5m development, Lever Court in Duke St, Liverpool.

How have you/your business benefited from the internet?

Yes, the internet is an important tool for us, we use it for research and also for our portfolio website which illustrates our projects and provides advice to home owners. We distribute all the project documentation digitally and had a client login to enable the whole design team and construction team to access the latest design information.

What do you think the future of the internet holds for you and your business?

We’ve recently commissioned Sparkle media (www.sparklemedia.tv) to produce films of two projects, Lever Court and the Grade II listed Church House, which we have had encoded to place on our website. We are very impressed with the results, as are our clients and website visitors, one even commented “it’s Grand Designs meets Top Gear.”
As part of our marketing campaign we are also looking at producing a blog and e-mail newsletter.

Do you take advantage of social networking (Facebook / Twitter etc...) and how has it benefited you?

Yes we have FacebookTwitter and Linked In accounts and we’ve found it very useful for networking with the local business community, it’s also helps with our nominations for both the Downtown Liverpool in Business LiverCOOL “Property Professional of the Year” award and our nominations in the “Construction Sector” of the BNI Gala Awards dinner both to be held in November.
We feel that using Facebook and Twitter allows a portion of your personality to come through, people can relate to you easier, especially if you add a little humour, it also provides a bit of background to allow the ice to be broken at networking events. As with IAW who we met whilst DLiB “sexy networking”
